Some Travel Hacks to make your Trip Easier

Now it’s time to start travel for your long awaited vacations. You can choose your travel destination, book your tickets, book your hotel accommodation and make your travel itinerary. But, when it comes to packing, the worry of what to pack and what not to pack can strain your nerves. As it’s not easy to pack everything in your suitcase.

Some Travel Hacks to make your Trip Easier

These travel hacks will come super handy and will ensure that you travel light. Learn how to pack smarter and stress free-

  • Avoid over packing and under packing –

Packing less and packing more, both are not good for travelling. Therefore, it’s important to make your own list of things which you really need for your vacations. A packing list will ensure that you do not miss anything to pack and you do not pack, what you don’t need. Just do not pack everything, which you are not sure that you will be needing or not.Β  Always leave some space for souvenirs and extra items you might bring along with you. Leaving some will help you in repacking clothes easily.

  • Packing Cubes –

One of the essential parts of packing is compartmentalize your suit caseΒ with the help of packing cubes. I always pack my suitcase with packing cubes – 1 for my under garments and socks, 1 for my tees and shirts, and 1 for my bottoms. Believe me; this will ease you in getting dressed in 10 minutes by choosing outfits easily. This will save your time too from scrabbling through the suit case and picking up your outfit to wear.

  • Organize Everything –

Use clear bags or cute cases to keep your things organized. So you don’t have to fumble your whole suitcase to find something. I really hate wasting time in searching for something in whole suitcase. Organizing things in cases are a big rescue. Use these cases for keeping toiletries, medicines, jewellery, make up items and snacks, especially if you are travelling with kids.

  • Laundry Bags-

Carry laundry bags to keep your used and dirty clothes separate from clean ones. I use to keep 2-3 laundry bags along with me, as you never know when and how they can help you. Don’t worry in case you forgot to keep laundry bags along with you, as you can always have them from your hotel too.

  • Consolidate your Packing –

Compress your clothes as much as possible and save space. Do not fold your clothes and lay them straight. Best hack to save space is to roll the clothes and pack. It not only saves your space but will also cut down on wrinkles. Pack your socks by folding one into another. Pack your small items into any big to maximize space. Like if you are packing shoes in your suitcase, then you can put your socks, underwear, etc.

  • Carry a Hand bag or Bag pack –

Don’t forget to carry a hand bag or tote bag while travelling. It is super useful when it comes to keep essential items handy while travelling. You can keep your phone, tablet, headphones, chargers, wallet, medicines, wipes, travel IDs, passport, tickets, notepad, a pen etc. Keep this bag handy with you.

  • Small Packings –

A every useful travel hack is to pack mini packing either small bottle or sachet of everything. Be it face wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair oil, hair gel etc. You will easily find these amenities in your hotel too. Still in case you are specific about the products you use, then pack all your favorites in mini containers and save on space.

  • Keep Multitasker Outfits –

Do not stick to only designer wear or specific outfits to be worn on specific occasions. Pack basic plain tees, shorts, jeans which can go with everything. You can easily repeat and style basic clothes. I generally wear one pair of jeans and carry one pair of shorts with few tees. And, keep on mix match those.

  • Wear Heavies Clothes –

Never pack your heavy coat or jacket in your suitcase. Wear them, if you are taking multiple shoes or heavy clothes; wear the ones which will take up the most space. Make sure that you wear your puffy jacket or oversized coat and pack light clothes. You can easily take them off if you feel too warm. This will save your space and free you from dragging heavy luggage.
