Therefore, I have combined all important information along with some useful tips which will surely help you in planning a memorable and a short trip to Jim Corbett.
Jim Corbett, located in the Ramnagar district in Uttarakhand is the first national park of India. It is home to Bengal white tigers and numerous wildlife species. The lush green valleys, dense forests, luxurious resorts, sparkling river, and natural beauty of the place is what everyone needs for relax and leisure. Jim Corbett is the perfect weekend option from Delhi for all who are in need of a peaceful vacation away from the hectic schedule of busy life.
How to reach:-
Jim Corbett National Park is just 240 kms from Delhi. One can plan a road trip, which will take approx 5 hours from Delhi. A road trip is the best way to enjoy the route itself. I went by my own car with my family.
One can go by train as well. The nearest railway station from Jim Corbett is Ramnagar, which is around 12 kms from the park. From there you can book a cab or can travel by bus to reach the resort. There are only 2 trains for Ramnagar namely Ranikhet Exp and Utr Samprk Ex.

Jim Corbett National Park-
Jeep Safari is one of the best and must to do thing in Jim Corbett. It is the perfect way of exploring the beauty of the jungle. Open air jeep riding is itself an amazing experience. Passing through the dense jungle for almost three hours is a very delightful adventure for all wildlife lovers and wildlife photographers. Even if you could not manage to spot a tiger, the feeling of going through the jungle is unmatchable.
Make sure to check which zone is open when you are travelling, as each zone is unique and beautiful. The park is divided into 5 major zones β Bijrani, Dhikala, Jhirna, Dhela and Durga Devi. You need to start early in the morning. The weather in Jim Corbett is very pleasant with chilled winds flowing in the mornings and evenings.
Tips:
* You can book your jeep safari online as well, but go for only registered ones.
* Do not forget to carry warm clothes when you are heading for safari, no matter in which months you are travelling.
* Corbett is open all throughout the year. But zones vary from month to month. Therefore, it is important to book correct zone for the safari.
* Follow all the rules and regulations of the Wildlife Protection Act inside the National Park.
Garjia Temple –
Grjia temple is the famous temple of Garjia Devi, located on a large rock in the middle of river kosi. You can reach there by climbing few stairs. After visiting temple, you can spend time here by relaxing over the banks of river kosi which will make you feel refreshed. You will see many devotees visiting the temple and seeking the blessings of Garjia Devi.
River Kosi-
The best way of spending some leisure time is on the banks of River Kosi. Take nature walks along with the river. Lovely backdrops of mountains, waterfalls, fresh air gives positive and revitalizing energy to your soul.

It is believed that Goddess Sita spent her days of exile here. This Forest Reserve is approx 10 kms away from Ramnagar. Do not forget to click pictures, but do not spend too much time outside your vehicle as you never know when you may encounter any wild animal. So, be cautious!

There are plenty of good resorts in Jim Corbett. You can choose according to your budget and requirements. You will find budgeted hotel as well and luxurious resorts as well. Most of the accommodation options are near Ramnagar and they offer good amenities for a comfortable stay.
Tip:
Try to book a hotel stay with breakfast and dinner. It is better to have your breakfast for the day and leave the hotel. And, trust me you wonβt be able to search for any restaurant or cafΓ© to dine in after a tedious day. So, make yourself stress free and have dinner in your resort.

- Comfortable clothes, especially few warm clothes for early morning jungle safari.
- Comfortable flip flops, shoes or sneakers, avoid heels.
- Carry hat or shades for escaping from the sun and to look stylish as well.
- Donβt forget to carry a backpack and water bottle while going for safari or visiting other places.
- Basic medical kit, electronics and chargers.
