Plan your next weekend to Burja Haveli

If you are looking for some quick weekend gateway to relax and spend some peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Head to Burja Haveli located in Alwar. It is the best weekend gateway from Delhi. Burja Haveli is around 260 years old haveli located on the surroundings of Aravalli hills on the outskirts of the city.

I visited Burja Haveli with my family in the month of August. We started around 6 AM in the morning and reach there by 11:30 AM. I loved driving through the beautiful roads surrounded by picturesque landscapes and excellent views of mountains. It was amazing to drive through lush green roads and feel the soft breeze on the face.

I have booked a room in advance, so, I do not have to complete any formalities and got the room immediately. The place has superb dΓ©cor. I was amazed at the dΓ©cor setting of haveli; it is all decorated in ethnic and traditional look giving the feel of the Rajasthani culture.

There is a small reception area at the entrance followed by open space decorated with trees, hanging knitted nests, floral plants and surrounded by a lot of birds. It feels so good to be at the place which gives you lovely sound of birds along with the stay in old rustic look haveli.

The haveli is divided into two parts. One is the main haveli where rooms are there. And other is the lawn area which is separate just by a small road. The lawn area is very huge with few cottages for stay. It has a swimming pool, gym area, badminton, and volleyball. One can just relax by soaking under the sun in the swimming pool.

The rooms in the garden were very neat and clean and are well designed to give vintage feel. They are spacious too. They provide water bottles along with the coffee sachets in each room. You can have entirely different feeling with old styled doors, traditional furniture, colored window panes, traditional paintings, and wall dΓ©cor. The night becomes lovelier with lighting, music and roof top bar & terrace. We enjoyed having dinner in the garden. The special attraction was to have dinner in front of village ladies making fresh chapattis in front of you and serving them hot simultaneously. The food was very tasty. Staff is also very cooperative, soft and offer quick service

Waking up to the sound of chirping birds and screaming sound of peacock is the real bliss, what else you need on your vacation. It’s simply a good god day to start in a fresh environment. We spotted peacocks on the terrace as well. After having a scrumptious buffet breakfast, we head to SiliSerh Lake. We enjoyed stunning of the lake surrounded by hills. Weather was too good, we relax there, had our all-time favorite – Maggie and left for the city. We went to Kalakand Market and buy a few items there.

We had a great time at Burja Haveli. It is the perfect place for short vacations; its architectural charm and impressive service entice you to visit the place again.
